Mountain Dwarf Clans
Ostergard – Ruling Family of the Great Forge who’s former Patron was King for Hundreds of years since the beginning of the Foresthaven Wars
Rouducan – One of the oldest Mountain Dwarf clans who claim to have crowned the first king. Yearns for the old ways.
Vardat – Clan of Dwarves that rule the Western mountains of the Forge. Closest clan to the elves and have provided the most troops in each of the Foresthaven wars due to their proximity, though the rest of the Dwarf clans mock them for adopting somewhat elvish style and consider them foppish.
Forrol – Clan which maintains the Daggerborn River flowing through the Great Forge. Was closest to the tragedy the flooded Heaven’s breath and created the Dark Lake of Kurayam. Clan holds the shame of the travesty over their heads and has been held responsible by the other clans.
Dbal –Clan responsible for Great Forge Mining in the deep receses of the mountains, reaching into the upper tiers of the Underdark. They compete heavily with Clan Felspark for mining contracts and rights.
Grun – Scholars and keeper of history among the Dwarf clans. Usually Mages or clerics tend to come from this clan.
Gruden –Clan Boasts to be the Founders of the Great forge and the Favorite sons and daughters of Fa’ud.
Felspark –Mining clan who mines the upper reaches of the Great forge and in high competition with clan Dbal. Claim to fame is the finding of the continents first Mithral ore.
Ironblood –Highly respected clan, known as the realms best Blacksmiths. Made their mark by inventing Dwarven Mithral Armor.
Battlebeard –Clan newly recognized by the other Mountain Dwarf clans. Clan lives in the highest peaks of the mountains of the Great Forge mainly known for logging and delivering wood to the other dwarven clans where wood is sparse. They have cemented their position amongst the ranks of the other Dwarves by marrying the head of the clans daughter to the newly crowned King Freigr Ostergard.
Stoneaxe –Clan that produces the most warriors in the Great Forge. Known for creating the Devil Dwarves, a unit of Dwarven warriors who fight primarily with axes in each hand.
